Try scuba

Have you ever wondered what it was like to Scuba Dive, but weren't sure if you would actually like it?  Sharky's has a solution!  Why not just Try Scuba!?

Try Scuba is not a certification course, but a way for you to get in the water, learn a little bit about the equipment, and try scuba diving in a safe environment.

Sharky's offers Try Scuba's once a month on our Pool Days.  You can find the upcoming dates on the Events & Calendar tab or on our Facebook page, Sharky's Dive Team.

• DESCRIPTION:

Under the direct supervision of a dive professional, individuals will learn what it's like to breathe underwater in a safe and confined location.  This program is designed for adults and children (ages 10 and above) that have no prior experience Scuba Diving, but have always wanted to try.

• STEPS FOR THE COURSE:
  

STEP 1:  Sign Up

Contact us at the shop (909-596-2505) or come into Sharky's to register for the program. 
Cost is $75.00 per person. 
Fill out some quick paperwork and we will let you know our next scheduled pool time.
Participants must be ages 10 years old and over, and be in reasonably good health.

STEP 2:  Hands On Learning

No prior experience is necessary!

An instructor will work with the individual(s) and be by their side the entire time. The participant(s) will have an immersive experience, from instruction on the equipment, to safety procedures and skills, and finally, go underwater on full scuba gear.

• WHAT'S INCLUDED:
  • Instruction and Supervision by a Scuba Professional
  • Scuba experience while in a confined pool
  • All rental equipment (Mask, fins, buoyancy compensation device, weights, regulator, tank)
  • Lots of fun!

       

• WHAT SHOULD PARTICIPANTS BRING:
  • Bathing Suit
  • Dry Clothes
  • Sunscreen           

​  ** How Sharky's Sweetens the Pot:  If you like Scuba Diving with Try Scuba and want to continue onto Sharky's Open Water Class, we'll credit your Try Scuba $50 toward the Open Water certification class!
