As an East Coast native, John spent the summers at the lake participating in competitive and non-competitive water sports.  However, it wasn’t until he traveled to California and dove the coastal waters he realized what he was missing.  The beauty of the kelp, aquatic life and the natural reefs are breath taking.  John has taken his passion of the water with all its beauty to teach students to respect and protect the environment while exploring its magnificence below.
