ENRICHED AIR NITROX

Picture
Do you want a longer bottom time and shorter surface interval?  Then sign up for the Enriched Air Nitrox Course!

In the Enriched Air Nitrox Course (also referred to simply as "Nitrox"), students will learn what Enriched Air is, how it can benefit them while diving, and how to analyze a mixture.

*Sharky's offers Nitrox fills through a membrane system, as opposed to partial pressure blending.

  • DESCRIPTION:
The Nitrox class is very popular among divers because it can give you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives.  The typical air we as humans breath is approximately 79% nitrogen and 21% oxygen, with trace amounts of other gases.  Nitrox has more oxygen and less nitrogen, so individuals on Nitrox would have extended no stop times for a given depth because you absorb nitrogen at a slower rate.

  • STEPS FOR THE COURSE:

STEP 2: Applying Skills

Once the student completes the E-Learning homework, they will move to the hands on "classroom" portion of the course.  During this class time, the student review the material from the E-Learning, practice using an oxygen analyzer to analyze the content in a tank, and learn to set a dive computer for diving with Enriched Air.

STEP 3: You're Done!

 Congratulations Certified Diver!

At this step, the student has successfully completed the theoretical, as well as the practical application of the Enriched Air class and has earned the stamp-of-approval from their instructor.  The student will receive a certification card indicating that they are an Nitrox Diver with an accredited Scuba agency.
